BIENVENUE AU MONTREAL!!!
As I had spoken about earlier, I was in Montreal this past weekend for the Sport Compact Performance (SCP) show. Coverage and article went live today on www.urbanracer.com click on the link below to check out the full gallery and text from the event.
The weather up there was sooo cold! This Florida boy isn’t used to that kind of weather. We also partied the whole weekend in between judging cars for www.nationalcustomcarassociation.com which was a very good warm-up for SEMA which is coming up soon. Reasons Why I Love Canada
Spent the weekend in Montreal for SCP, it was a nice change of scenery from the blandness of Miami. The streets were decorated from head to toe in Canadiens colors, reminding everyone that the Habs have been around for 100 years, probably why their names are engraved on the Stanley Cup the most. Check out the Ketchup flavored chips, and the massive amounts of hockey gear at one of the local sports stores downtown, these are things you don’t normally see everyday in Miami. Check out the Panthers jersey on display in the sports store, apparently they change the jersey according to the team that the Canadiens are playing next, I left the same day the Cats were in town to play the Habs. Despite the frigid weather, I had an absolute blast this weekend in one of my favorite cities in the world.

Greddy files for Chapter 11!
We all heard the news that Trust, Greddy’s father company in Japan, had filed for chapter 11. We heard not long after that Greddy North America would continue regular operations. That was until recently when they filed for the big 11. Check out this statement from Greddy.
Last night after the AMAZING Panthers game, girlfriend and I went over to a friends house for a birthday jam with some heavy Trinidadian influence. This was apparent when I reached down the road and was still able to hear the soca music blasting from the backyard. Upon arrival, I was told that Trinidad’s Olympic Silver Medalist Richard Thompson, who was part of their family, was in attendance and had the silver medals on hand. This was quite exciting, not only to meet a world class athlete, but also to check out some of the Beijing hardware. I’ve always wondered what the olympic medals were like, I’ve only ever seen them on the tube, or in magazines. I’m not sure if its a big deal for everyone else but it was just a cool experience for me to actually see the medal in person. Also, check out the super fresh box it came in!!
The Tjin Edition Skyline went live today on www.urbanracer.com. I shot this mean machine while I was up in Carlisle for their Style and Performance show, same time when I shot the Turtle Wax Cobalt. The weather that weekend was soo cold, but overcast all weekend which made it easy to shoot. This Skyline is truly one of a kind, there is so many hours of manual labor and custom fabrication put into this car, its mind boggling. Neil Tjin really did a number on this Skyline, which will be up for auction in Carlisle later next year, I am expecting this sucker to end up selling for a decent amount of money. You should hear the things that people say about this car as they try to figure out what the hell it is, if you haven’t already had a chance to check this thing out in person, you may already be too late, for now click the links! Bank Atlantic Center
Checked out the only HOME Florida Panthers preseason game last night vs. the New York Islanders, Tomas Vokoun was an animal in the net, while our offense really stepped it up and put six passed the Islanders. We went up to check out our seats in the Lexus Club, but our names weren’t engraved yet, hopefully they will be ready for the start of the season on Saturday night. Check out this shot of the arena!
